yes you can paint but i suggest using radiator paint or some high temp paint you should be fine, but if you can afford it get it anodized. painting it changes the way the intercooler heat disperses as the anodizing doesnt

 

k thanks... just wanted to paint it red since evo black... thought it look pretty nice with red ccfl...

 

I bought my intercooler painted and I'm an idiot for doing it, the paint started to chip and I don't want to put any more layers on it because I don't want it to stay hotter because of that.
