Unless you are not ok with the new mounting bracket solution they use compared to their older intercoolers.

I like my ETS intercooler, but it has the old style bracket that is one piece without bolting on like the ebay units.

I personally do not like how they changed it, and know others who have bought it and have turned around and sold it. When it comes time to replace mine, I'll be going with a Buschur unit.

If i remember some tests were done on the mishimoto intercooler and did marginally better than the stock intercooler.

If you want a good intercooler for cheap I highly suggest a vrsf or obx intercooler; I compared the cores with my own eyes to ETS and Garrett and fin density/build looked exactly the same (inside and out, cept for the end tanks and def quality control).

What different mounting solution? The 2 bolt bracket on the top instead of bracket being bent? The bolted bracket is actually much stronger. Allows for less damage during shipping. If you are concerned about brackets. The Buschur unit only has 2 brackets. 1 on the side and 1 on the top. Our intercooler utilizes all 3 factory mounting points. 1 on each side (2) and 1 on the top. We also provide spacers to pull the intercooler away from the A/C line.

If anyone has questions, let me know! We have had a lot of praise on the new bracket system and no bent brackets due to shipping.

Thanks!

Michael

I would either run ETS or AGP. Both companies are awesome and make badass products. I went with AGP cause they're local to me and I'm all about supporting local shops. ETS would be my next choice.

What makes you dislike it?

Extreme Turbo Systems Mounting Brackets - Evo 8/9.

Side 1

Side 2

Top

--------------------------------------------

Here is how our old top bracket looks. Instead of having a modular setup like above. We welded a bent bracket to the intercooler. The new modular setup insures your intercooler arrives with a straight bracket. The welded bracket was able to bend during transit.

Here is a picture of the old bracket. I personally like the new bracket look more.

Hope this clears up the bracket mounting solution. The new solution definitely costs us a bit more money, but it insures the customer is getting a product that fits correctly.

Thanks!

Michael

When I got my IC from you guys I was a bit thrown off by the new design. Nothing wrong with it, I just wasnt expecting it. Works great and looks great too.

I need to update the pictures on the website. The intercooler on our site doesn't show near the quality that our guys produce on a daily basis. The welds these guys lay down are amazing!

It just looks like eBay. So Michael, you think the Buschur unit isn't as much of a quality piece because it utilizes two brackets? When I received my ETS intercooler back in 2010 it wasn't damaged from shipping, I'm sure the new design costs a little bit less to get to customers.

you dont need a fmic unless your making big power, keep the stock one and replace the stock rubber piping with hard pipping, it will give you decent gains
