I'm considering replacing my stock intercooler with a Mishimoto intercooler. Do you guys think it's a good brand and how much hp can i gain from this?

 

I went with the ETS 3.5 supposedly you gain from 10-12 whp. The reason why I went with ETS is because it mount like the stock, no cutting require like many others

 

If you are on a budget look into a vrsf core with Tiago.

They work as well as ETS or Buschur core. Just isnt polished or pretty looking.

 

Thats a pretty strong statement.. I wouldnt say it works as well as an ets or buschur core, but it works pretty well for what it is..

Here.. Agp uses the same garrett 3.5 core that everyone else uses, AND they have cast end tanks.. Best part is... Its only $500 a fraction of what other companies charge for their garrett 3.5 inch core..

 

If you’re on a stock turbo I would not bother. There are to many other needed things to consider before you come close to maxing out your stock ic. I highly doubt you will gain anything buy just bolting on new ic. Even though i do think Mishimoto has come a long way and do like the fact they publicly display their R&R. I would stick to ETS for cold parts when you are ready to benefit from it. Proven to make power time and time again, they last the life of your ownership of the car. Save up and do it right the first time or regret it. Ultimately, it is your choice.

 

They dont heat soak and make very good power.

I was able to advance timing with one also have owned ams, buschur, ets and muse core.

For what it is it works very well.

I'm in the same boat. My stock unit is beat up and shows its 11 years of use. I will be going with ETS as some others have mentioned.

 

I've purchased both ETS and VRSF ICs. In my mind, ETS is worth the minimal cost difference by a long shot. Better product, better customer service.

 

Just installed my ETS wide tank on my evo ix last night. I like it very nice looking behind that bumper! Go with ETS you won't be disappointed

 

I have an ets 3.5, fits fine and ill never out flow it.

ETS is the best bang for your buck in my opinion.

Pricing is lower than a lot of other big name brands out there and the quality/ performance is as good if not better than most of those big name brands too. Go with ETS and you will not be disappointed. I am getting ready to purchase my 3rd ETS FMIC for my Evo X and had one on each of my last 2 Evo 8's I owned
