Whats needed to make 500HP?

Hey guys, hopefully someone can help me out. I picked up an 8 not too long ago. Since owning it ive fixed several issues. The main issue I have is the idle. Sounds cammed at idle only. Then when I kick on the AC it idles at a steady 1000-1100RPMS. Smells like its running extremely rich as well.

Also, Im looking to make the EVO faster. Any suggestions on parts I could buy? I dont really want to change the internals. More looking to change the turbo, turbo manifold, injectors, etc. Bolt on parts and some good management.

I live on a hot humid island in the middle of the Pacific. The weather is similar to Hawaii. Lots of sun and rain and NO DYNO

BTW the mods to the car now are Apexi Power FC, SAFC II, large front mount, Apexi intake, Skunk 2 Intake mani, GSP 70mm throttle body, DC sports cat back with cat deleted, Greddy Profec B 2, ARP head studs, and a few other misc items.

Thanks in advance!!

How much are you willing to spend, and you're going to need a tune.

Your going to need full bolt ons and something along the lines of an fp red or map ef3 on e85 or pump gas with meth. This has been covered tho.

More importantly you will need a tune. You should look into TScomp tuned for a solid remote tune to make sure all the modifications done to car have a positive effect on it, not a negative one.

Is it possible to reach my goal without using E85? Where I live its not easy to get and if you can get it its super expensive. Everything shipped here has hazmat regulations and what not....what are some good places for E tuning? Meaning, I dont have a dyno here to use.

It is possible to reach ~500 depending on the fuel you use. 93 octane is possible, 92 octane kind of possible, 91 octane not so much. Basically anything less than 93 octane is going to be make achieving your goal more difficult.

You can remote tune, yes. I suggest tuning with TSComp (Tom). He's a very reputable tuner and will help you with what you need in terms of tuning and parts as well.

you can put good parts on it but without a tune it will not do the same effects and full improvement

on 93 I suggest going to an fp black and other supporting mods. next sell your power fc & safc and put back the stock ecu. You can also get some money back by selling the greddy boost controller and just get a 3-port. Then get a good e tune.

with the 3 port, what else is needed? If i remove the EBC and replace it with a GM 3 port or something similar, what else would be required other than a good tune? The car only boost at 0.60kpa right now and idk why.
