Evo 9 will not start!!! Searched.

Hi guys.

My money pit won't start.

Freshened up the bottom end. Put r2 cams/kiggly in it. 75mm bomba TB. AMS intake manifold and ID2000's. It back fires out the intake manifold.
Could having no oil on the mivec gear make it back fire and not start?
I've rotated the engine with no plugs for atleast 30 sec to try to build oil pressure and nothing. Used a timing light to check if the coils on 1 and 4 are firing at ~TDC and they are.

We scaled the injectors for e85.
Mechanical timing is how it's suppose to be on a 2.4 with a mivec head.
Exhaust cam sensor is the correct way.
Crank sensor works as I had the car on the on position and rotated the engine by hand and the fuel pump would turn on/off so I assume it works.
We checked the immobilizer code and it's corect.

Any help/ideas where to look would be greatly appreciated.

if it's back firing out the intake manifold then something is very wrong. i.e. timing

Ecu or mechanical timing?

Mechanical timing is how it's suppose to be on a 2.4 with a 9 head. I think it's backfiring due to having no oil pressure in the mivec cam gear making it be all over the place.

yes; if the timing is off on the intake cam it won't be closed when the engine fires. as for why it's off i cant help you, but it 100% shouldn't be backfiring out the intake

Maybe a boublecheck on all the wiring could help and check if all connectors are in the right place and well connected.
It could be also a unplugged ground wire.

Toyota prius coils.

It's still floding the combustion chambers. I tried to scale the ID2000's and it's still dumping way to much fuel. I don't know if I am scaling them correctly. I got it to dump less fuel and it wants to fire up but floods after a few rotations.

Try stock or smaller injectors with the right scaling. If it keeps pouring fuel into a fresh engine it could wash the rings out.
Do you have a stock or aftermarket fuel regulator?
Check physical timing of the engine again.
If you replaced any of the cam sensors, make sure you used the correct ones. They can be swapped by accident.
Are you able to check timing while cranking the engine?

I'm pretty sure I washed the rings out. I did a comlression test and it have 0 psi on all 4. Ima do an oil change. Wait for my tuner to send me a basemap and hope the rings will seal.

It starts to fire up but then gets choked out by fuel.
I did check timing and it looked good.

Received basemap from a very reputable tuner. Uploaded it. Re-did my mechanical timing to how my tuner told me to do it/set it. Still won't start.

I will switch the cam sensors around today. That's one thing I have not done yet.

Mivec Cam Wheel not installed properly...

The Cam Pin isnt in the hole of the Sprocket, instead its in the Oil Holes or the slot...

Then you maybe have bent Valves....so no compression
