AMS Turbo kit pics

Here is a sneak peek at our newest and final rendition of our turbo kit. We are waiting on the thick wall (.125") 321 S.S. bends to finish up the kit. More pics coming soon with an ETA of the turbo kit also. We are bringing EVO owner the best kit possible. We've spent months of testing (over 12 different turbo's) to make the best possible turbo kit an EVO owner can put on his car. Not only will it out-peform everything else, it will be complete (no fabrication required) and easy to install for any shade-tree mechanic. Exact details and pricing will be out in about a week.

BTW before anyone asks, there will be a fire-sleeve over the upper radiator hose.

Enjoy!

Martin

Hi-temp coating option?

Martin,

That looks very nice. I currently use a 321 SS equal length manifold on my GS-T and I love it. I have been using it for over a year without a single problem.

Anyway, since I have a little experience with this type of mani, they tend to put off a lot of heat. I had to fab up some sort of heat shield out of sheet metal for my manifold.

Have you ever thought of offering any hi-temp coatings for the manifold? Or possibly exhaust wrap? Just curious.

If I ever decide to purchase an Evo and sell my GS-T, your kit would definitely be one of my top options.

Thanks,
Eric

Really Nice! Get some pictures from the side without the radiator hose in the way. Warranty? Price? And I'm sure once you get the rest of the stuff together you'll give us some dyno curves. Are you guy's going to run your Evo 8 at any E-town events?

If this kit is along the same lines of craftsmanship that they usually produce, this will be an awesome turbo kit!!!! AMS makes the best stuff for the EVO and stands behind their product 100%

Nice looking kit, one question is what type of turbo is that (Gt series)? and what sort of fuel and engine management is recommended?

Fuel management...last I heard they were using AEM EMS...but switching to UTEC...someone please correct me if I am wrong. I do believe you can use a good electronic boost controller with an APEXi S-AFC. But like I always say...I could be wrong
