Need opinions on Competition clutch 2600 - road racing use

Hi,

I'm on the process of choosing a new clutch for my car. It is a VII with some mods - check my sig - and making around 400whp. Fuel cut is set at 8100RPM but it could rev up to 8400 or even more. I'll use it mostly on road racing and eventually on the street.

After some e-mail changing with a reputable vendor I've narrowed down my options, bein the Competition clutch 2600 one of them. I've searched a lot but couldn't find any review about it.

I'm pretty sure it is a great street clutch with good manners, low noise and capable of a good idle. But, will if allow me to shift smoothly at high revs like 8100~8400?

I really don't want to go the multiplate way as I won't ever launch it nor make over 450whp.

Its a good clutch in my opinion.. Not very noisy and goes give a good grab. I wouldn't recommend it if you are going any higher in HP but for Road Race you should have nothing but good things from it. I had one for about a year and blew it out at the 480HP mark. You should be fine and I would DEFINITELY recommend it over the ACT 2600.. no lockout issues for me with it.

So you used it on the strip? Shifted over 8000RPM also?

I'm considering 5152-2600.
