I want that torque, 2.3 or 2.4LR, already have built 2.0
I love my 2.4 but if i were to do it all over again i would go with a 2.3. going to a 2.4 there are a few things you need to change and do to make it work, its not much and not to hard but its just more work. keeping the 4g63 block you don't have to worry about anything just drop it in and all stock parts work.
With a 2.4 you either need the stock waterpump with a spacer or a 03 outlander waterpump and modify a few things to make it fit. next you need either the stock timing belt or the old galant timing belt than you need to also get new cam gears to make the timing right.
which ever route you go you may want to get a 4.11 final drive to help compensate so you don't have to rev the motor as high to keep that engine from over revving to much.

That is some great insight. Thanks. I like the idea of the Buschur 2.3RPM, but not really sure I want to deal with Buschur. ER seems to be the front runner in the 2.4 game.
I also really like the idea of having a spare block at home. As we all know in this game it will break sometime
