well on this board just saying that you have3 launched it once is enuff to say that it is your own fault.
I am really startign to think I should just save up 10k more for a dp on a m3.

I hear you on the M3 bro, I've replaced my clutch and now I have a bad transfer case all with under 12k on the clock. I'm thinking new S4 though.

13K miles goes beyond the 12K that you might be able to get covered by Mitsu per the owner's manual. If you are certain that it's gone, just purchase an aftermarket unit and have it installed anywhere you are comfortable with. I wouldn't even bother taking it in and trying to get it covered, but stranger things have happened...

too bad that mits did bring a nice car over here but didn't account for how americans like to drive there car fast and hard in a straight line.
I Love fast gettign a jump on cars at lights but also love to walk away from better cars in the twisty's I learned how to drive fast in a 85 station wagon with a 454 not the best handeling cars but it was fast off the line and then I could drift itall over the place in the twistys where mostof my friends with drag stangs and z28 had a hard time keeping up.
But as I get closer to 30 I see myself having more fun in twisty rd's then just beating people from light to light. So I am still not sure what I want to get.

Unfortuately, evo clutches will fall apart even if you aren't dropping and racing, they just suck.

needspeedd just go in and tell them what is up they they need to prove that you abused the car. I am willingto bet it is goingto be a fight but document everything adn be civil with them you always get more bees with honey than viniger.
Me I would go all he way up the top of the line as each person that says no talk the there boss no matter whta they say you have a right to do that In states You are innocent untill proven guilty so I would also say have another machinc look at it along side with mits guy adn give you to opinions on what the cause might be. just like getting two doc's opionons when you might or might not have cancer.

ducaticorse, yes I am begining to notice that but also some of the loudest voices on this board or those with problems I am just trying to look at both sides to get a grip on what is going on cause I bet there are a lot of people that might have 0 problems and launch all day long but if they are happy theree is no reason for them to post.

You can put me in that group - 13,600 miles, 20+ dragstrip passes, 2 track days, and driving it hard every time I get behind the wheel. Zero problems except for the rust under the bumper thing, which Mitsu took care of with no questions asked.

This is an information network, I am an evo owner, and it's falling apart. I love the car, that's why I bought it, I'm calling people out to try and find out what the hell is going on with these cars. Please don't mistake my "loud voice" for hating on this car. I wish for nothing to be wrong with it, hell I was about to spend 7K on the car next week for upgrades, do you think I want to be dealing with the transfer case now?

I currently have 27000 miles of road course racing and harsh street driving on the original clutch.

Remember, not all or even a majority of clutches are suffering premature deaths...we just have a vocal minority on this board.

I agree.. and anyone with a wet nitrus kit for sale and wanting ANY form of warranty is giving ALL EVO owners a bad rep. I grenaded my front dif through STUPID abuse you don't see me whining that mitsu needs to fix my car. Individual responsibility and honesty...I guess that's what seperates my gen from the current group of "evo babies"

Believe me or not, and my mechanic would confirm, that my nitrous kit isn't even jetted yet. i was waiting for my new clutch to break in first, so before you start calling people babies, get your facts straight. Believe me, there is a problem with a good portion of the evo's out there, and if it's not now or tommorow, you'll realize it sometime. And Robi, just because your car is fine, doesn't mean all the other cars out there are good to, why don't you ask what the others have done to "abuse" their car in a "stupid" manner to deserve a clutch and transfer case failure at 11k miles. Grow up a bit kid.

Again,I'm not hating on the EVO, I bought it in the first place. But you can not deny that some of these clutches are going out to quickly, and I won't even get into the transfer cases, 11k miles, you've got to be joking.
