stage 1 transfer case

Looking at getting my xfer case rebuilt in the winter and i'm looking at the stage 1 from shepherd. They said it's good for up to 500 awhp, which is going to be plenty for me. I want to stay on the stock block. If i don't plan on tracking the car, very minimal launches, and just looking for an all around fun street car should i need the lsd option for another $450? Is it worth it? Let me know what you guys think!

I kind of feel like this is my fault Front LSD helps power out of tight corners w/o the front inside wheel spinning. I was more responding (and a bit tongue and cheek) to the new owner "I'm not going to mod it... Much" because we have all been there... and look at us now

Most important thing is to make sure front and rear diffs have topped off Diaqueen (what Mitsu calls thier LSD oil) if you picked it up used. If it's not whining you are good, enjoy your car. No NEED for the front LSD unless you are racing and/or the the transfer case is out for service anyway. Shep is great, can't go wrong with them as well, personally if your pulling it and sending it out I'd do the LSD.

I hope that helps!

Good info! I'm not going to track it, but agree, if i'm gonna invest $1000, may as well throw down another $500 and do it once, do it right.
