Just installed Perrin short-shifter + bushing kit

Hey guys. To those who haven't done this..........DO IT!!! I installed the Perrin short-shifter, metal bushing kit (under the shifter and under the hood), as well as draining the transfer case and tranny. Installed Redline Shockproof (light). The car shifts as well as my RX7 with no linkage. I also drained the diff and installed Redline 75/90 NS with the additive. One thing I did notice is my diff was low on fluid from Mitsu. (I only had 500miles) So hopefully there wasn't any damage done. I've been fairly easy one it up till this point. Im very impressed with the Evo this far. Can't wait to put on the Perrin downpipe and midpipe this week!

If you only do one mod to your car, I recommend the bushing kit, even over the short shifter!

Sorry for the ignorance, but what is a bushing kit? Mann, I better check all my fluid level.

Under your shifter you have linkage. The shifter does not go directly into the tranny. The linkage connects to linkage under the hood directly over the tranny. Our tranny's are transversly mounted. This linkage has all rubber grommets/bushings. This gives it a very rubberyand sloshy feel. The metal bushings give it a very solid and firm feel. You'd swear there wasn't even any linkage at all. You'll never miss a shift again. The best part of it is its cheap!

A guy I know has the perrin ss and bushings and it sounds solid if that makes sense, just strong as hell.

How much does the Perrin SS kit reduce the throw? I've been reading many good reviews about it, but I'm also interested in the prototype design super short ****er, super as in it can't get any shorter without copping skin off when shifting.
