HKS cams

Anyone made big numbers using HKS 274in 278ex newer cam? Im wondering if its worth to upgrade them to r2's. Any info realy appreciated

It really depends on your mods as of now and what you plan on for it in the future.

I don't have any dyno numbers to back up my claims but I previously ran HKS 264/272 combo and couldn't tell they weren't stock. Upgraded to s1 cams with very small increase in power then to s2 cams with a good noticable gain and now running r2. I love the r2. My girls car has HKS 280s and honestly, I'm not impressed. They idle good though.

I just bought some S2 cams but is still debating if I should put them in place of my HKS 272 on a stroker engine. I LOVE my current cams and the way it idle, tip-in, and drive - SMOOTH. Even on a GT3582R turbo/pump gas+meth injection it's very "torquey" on low RPM. As far as top end, I don't know what to compare it to.
All I know is that I love my current car and afraid new cams will screw it up. If I could remember I will update this thread once switched to E85 and S2 cams.
