hta 3794 or gtx3582

hi every one , sorry for poor english . i need help more than anybody here .
i have both of them already , i know they are not comparable , please notice my mods , and my usage

gtx 3582 0.82 t3 single scroll
hta 3794 0.85 t3 singel scroll

mods :
gsc s3 , gsc beehive 5040 , stage 1 ported head , 2.0 8.5 cr , je pistons 0.20 , manley tt , l 19 , 4" ic ,
2.5 ic pipes .

i dont want to use nos , its not a daily driven , i wont rev more than 8500 , im not sure about two things :

1st :e 85 or vp's ?

2nd really important : in 35 psi of boost and just 8500 , which of them can make more power ? i mean better et .

how about 40 psi ?

It depends on what your building the car for. If your drag racing and want alot of top end, 3794 "650-800whp" would be a better option.

If your driving a street car and want to have more mid-range ect. Id say the 3582. "500-650whp"

tnx man , i will use the car just for drag ,
actually i know 3794 can make more power with more boost and more revs ,
fp says 3794 is suitable for +40 psi ,but i want to use it in 35psi , i dont want to rev it more than 8500 ,i dont find my answer yet .

which one is better for 35psi , 8500 rpm rev

Just get the 35R. Makes no sense why you choose arbitrary boost numbers and RPM. The 67mm will obviously be much laggier.

More lag, more power or less lag, less power. Just take a pick.

tnx , i think all of us have known that bigger turbos are laggier , make more power , .....
lag is not important for me

u missed the point of question : which one is better for drag racing with 35 psi of boost

i can test both of them , but preffer to use topdogs experience .
any info about fullboost in a 2.0 ?

Somebody already told you to split the difference and go with an HTA 3586. . Configure it with a T.S. T4 backside.

Go with the GTX3582 on E85 get it tuned legit. You will not be disappointed. Should be good for some 9 second passes

From your rpm and boost constraints you suggest, I feel this suits your needs perfectly. And you can get closer to 700whp out of a gtx3582 with decent spool and great transient response for drag racing a 5 speed

Yep sounds like GTX3582R should be the go. "35psi" as a magic number doesn't say much, depends on how the rest of your setup would use 35psi but generally speaking with most head packages etc the lag of a 3794 on a ~2litre won't be balanced by power/torque if you are "only" going 35psi... the balance will be much nicer at that boost level with something like the GTX3582R.

tnx sirius evo and mrlith .

finally someone gives a reasonable answer to me

is this true ? we can reduce lag by using e85 ?
what do you offer for fuel ? c16,q16,e85

do u have any idea (data-log-dyno chart) about max whp of gtx3582's ? can it make the same hp as a hta3586 t3 , i heard both are 75 lb turbos

Well, the GTX is an 11 blade compressor wheel with ~62mm inducer and 82mm Exducer

HTA86 is a 7 Blade compressor wheel with ~62mm inducer and an 86mm Exducer

I say they both have their advantages, the GTX may spool a little better but the 86 will make more power IMO.

At the end of the day, very similar. Not a popular choice for Evo owners but only because the HTA line of turbos from FP have been around the Mitsu guys long before the GTX wheels came out, so mainly loyalty.

I know BMW guys have hit close to 700 with them and they don't rev out as high as we do normally.

Both use the same turbine wheel.

Start with the GTX and get used to the car, enjoy the added spool and Torque. E85 combined with the GTX will be responsive. Yes, E85 aids in spool (more exhaust volume)

Once you get used to the power, slap on the 94
