Hmmm... I might stick with the factory stuff. I haven't had any issues with my diffs/transfer case. (*Knocks on wood)

Oh, and is there a specific weight to get with GM Synchromesh or is it all the same? Is it safe to use in the diffs as well as the tranny?

Great thread, guys.
No, I've had no drive train problems at all since the fliud change... it did take a little driving for the fluid to find it's way in between everything and smooth things out. I have the braided line/restrictor removed/metal shifter mount bushings (the 2nd gear grind went away before the bushings).

There was a specific part number for the GM Synchromesh we need to use. There are at least two numbers for the type of GM Synchromesh we are interested in. I got the same part number as listed at the $tealership. If you do a search, there was a topic about this where the correct part number was posted.

I also run GM synchromesh, recommended by Shepracing. No complaints at all. I just went to the local Chevy parts counter and said give me 3 quarts of Syncromesh and they said here ya go son that'l be 16 bucks or whatever the cost was. Then a month later I saw that the mitsu dealer had it sitting at their parts counter too... Maybe mitsu has tried this too?

Good ol' Mitsu throwing a band-aid on a larger problem.

I seriously hope they get this t-case mess sorted out.
