Sudden vibration under a load.

I noticed yesterday around 55-70mph, under a load the car woukd start vibrating, the more throttle the more violent the shake. The vibration is pretty noticeable and when you let off tj r throttle it goes away for the most part. I took the car in this morning to get the rear wheel bearings replaced and they drove it and put it on the rack and said the shaft felt like it had a pretty good amount of play and suggest ed the carrier bearing is bad. Is this common on these cars? Can someone point me in the right direction for replacement? I looked on the Internet and can't come up with a part.

Does this sound like carrier bearing or something else? It is definetly a pretty serious shake while under a load.

I did how ever do a first and second gear pull today. It didn't vibrate at all while wot, but when I came back to normal cruising speeds, the vibration came back as soon as I would try to build some boost and speed up.

I also noticed that it felt like while it was vibrating, it was making the car pull to the left some and when I would let out of the throttle, the vibration would stop and the car would track straight again. I'm completely confused and need to get this fixed immediately since this is my DD and I travel quite a bit on the freeway each day for work.

A vibration under acceleration only is likely an axle shaft.

Most likely will be a worn out cv shaft. I had this problem too, replacing them or swapping them around can fix the issue. Since all the loading goes on one side of the shaft, you should be able to swap the rears left to right so it has a reasonably fresh surface on the other side. I would repack them with grease though while they are out. Can't really help you for the front ones, probably just go and buy some new genuine ones
