Well, my setup is now on. It does rattle a bit, but it is bearable and it does stick out a bit (it was installed at a top dsm shop). I like the sound with the magnaflow muffler with high flow cat, but it is very quiet, perhaps even too quiet! The exhaust system is much lighter, I think about 36 pounds lighter than stock, which is a plus. Another thing is that its likely that the catback pipe will get dented since it is shipped without any sort of protection, but apparently these are not serious enough to affect performance.

Hmmm... and you don't even have an Evo yet? Why does it seem better? Because it has more votes?

for those with the RMR and a highflow cat...is it worth getting a highflow cat or stick with the stock cat? Sound difference?

IMHO after doing extensive research between the BR and RMR I chose the RMR. I had it now for 5 months and I love it. It's quiet at idle and at WOT it screams like a superbike. The Buscher I did not go with because like a lot of Buscher products poor fitment and not the greatest quality. Overall that is what made me choose the RMR despite the meanial power adavantage if any.

I dunno what happened to my posts on here, but ive had both these exhausts . Full buschur turboback with cat delete and RMR catback , Helix cat delete and ATP downpipe. The buschur gave some nice power gains, but the noise level was somewhat annoying. Having to watch for the po po all the time due to sound. Now I have the RMR and I must say wow, it tones it down alot at idle which is what I was wanting. It has 2 full 3in resonators to keep sound down. And now with my new turbo, exhaust manifold and full turboback exhaust . The sound levels have came down alot. But I am sure I lost 2whp maybe 3whp. But not that significant of a drop. But in no way am I dissing buschur, there items kick *** and are designed for one thing POWAAAA. But in the metro area that I live in it is better to have a less timid exhaust, Chris knows what I mean lol.

I have a HKS downpipe, Ultimate Racing test pipe and RMR catback. The RMR exhaust with the test pipe sounds like there's a V8 engine under the hood at idle (I have 264/272 cams). I fell in love the first time i turned the key.

We have changed the exhaust systems again, for those of you reading this. After too many problems with the slip fit and guys getting frustrated installing them we have eliminated the slip fit at the back of the downpipe and the front of the offroad pipes and high flow cats.

There is now a 3/8" stainless steel flange on every single downpipe we sell and on every single offroad pipe/highflow cat we sell. This puts the entire system in perfect alignment, far from the tunnel and the driveshaft. From there back it falls into place.

Price has stayed the same even though our manufacturing price raised considerably.

So is this system any better than the slip fit. I have the slip fit and i have had no problems. Install was easy and no rattling or issues of any kind.

Not different just much easier to install. The system perfectly aligns itself now that the downpipe and offroad pipe are both flanged. Makes the install extremely easy to do.

I have all Buschur: downpipe, high-flow cat, Magna-flow. I installed it in August. Fitment was good... but I did have to spend a few minutes to get it to fit the way I wanted it to. At idle it's very quiet. During nominal driving it's not loud. It gets loud at WOT but not obnoxious. The sound characteristics are perfect if you ask me.

I had to adjust the MBC down 4psi after the install... The flow is good! You'll get roughly 400RPM sooner in spool-up, and it spools up faster.

I considered RMR, Helix, HKS, JIC, and Buschur. I got lots of recommends about the Buschur both from this message board and from people around me here, and it looks like the straightest pipe out there.

My only complaint is that they didn't include an O2 simulator with the package, even with the high-flow cat it still throws the P0042 code... but then again I didn't ask for one either.

what is the deal with the P0042 code, what is it. I see that it has to do with replacing the stock cat and not having the O2 sensor hooked up. Does this code affect and daily driving. I have yet to get an exhaust and am planning on the Turboback with high flow cat and magnaflow. Will I get this code. How to fix??

Thanks

I agree with just about everything you said! Mine rattles a bit, at certain times, and I thought it would include the O2 simulator, so I too have the PO420 code.
