Hey guys just got 2005 Evo 8 couple weeks ago and the car is all stock except for a 3inch Electric cut out to stock exhaust. What is better to keep it like that or will a full catback exhaust produce more Hp?

Only thing i don't like about the cut out is it is loud as hell would like you guy's opinion also on a budget.

 

I know you are on budget but set up you have is useless. Ebay down pipe is around $90 and used catback around $200 .Used 3" turbo back exhaust from here is around $300.or you can go with boost activated cut out(which I have now).

english boost activated gets my vote. loud is just going to happen, just a matter of all the time with an exhaust or sometimes with the cutout.

 

Added this 400$ WORKS Exhale ABM (Axle Back Muffler) Exhaust Evo that i got for a good price almost new what else will go good with the rest of exhaust set up?

 

You still choking your exhaust system with stock down pipe and 02 housing.02 housing used $30-50, used down pipe $70.

Have cut out and gained 50hp with it open! Cat back 2.5" straigh. Nothing on it!
