Question About Valve Cover Breather Filter Install

I have an 05 EVO, and the little port on the right side of the valve cover (Im sure theres a name for it), anyways it cannot be connected to the air intake tube since the intake i have doesn't have anywhere for it to be connected (unaware of brand). Im just wondering, can i plug in an air filter/breather filer to the little port like so? Cause right now i just have the oem " L" hose just hanging there, not plugged into anything.

Heres what i mean by putting that air/breather filter on.

Yes, you can. If you look up some engine room pics here at the forum, there are quite a few people who does that.

Only one concern is that some oily blowby can contaminate nearby parts, so occasional cleaning might be needed (filter itself also).
