Some small problem. Help?
Hey guys, I drive an Evo 8 and I was wondering if you guys can help me find out what the problem I am having is. I will be going to the mechanic next week but I would like to hear some suggestion first. There are 2 things really, and not sure if they are connected to each other or not.
1. When I start my car up for work in the morning, it cranks, turn on then turns off. I would have to hold the pedal down for a like five seconds and when I let go, its fine. But it only happens when the engine been off for a long time and its cold. Not sure if oil plays a factor in it but I ran 10w-30 synthetic. It probably gets to 35-40 at night currently/
2. Sometimes the cars' RPM would go from idle up to 2000-2500 by itself and stay there for a second or 2. And when im driving and go into neutral from lets say 4500rpm or so, it would go down to 2000-2500 and stay there for a few seconds before dropping to idel.
If anyone has any ideas please few free to post. Thank you all.
