Just installed RPW header, downpipe and buschur high flow cat. Small problem. Help!

Well i just installed my rpw header and downpipe combo, and buschur 2.5" high flow cat, my whole exhaust setup is now running 2.5" I also have a buschur intake.
The problem is the noise it makes...
It sounds like a buzzing when i press the gas down i dont necesarily need to be floring it. I showed my brother and he said its just because its a 4cyl, and its a raspy sound.
But to me it kind of sounds like something is rattling really fast or something, im not really sure how to explain it, and i dont have anything to record the sound with.
I was kind of disapointed inthe sound it made, its really deep and pretty nice sounding until i press the gas down.
Is this normal? or is something wrong?
Thanks for your help.

I dont know, its high pitched kind of like they can bei guess, but i also forgot to mention, when i have the windows down i can hear it a lot more, im not sure if it matters, but when the windows are up, it sounds like it did before the header install, just a little louder.
My brother also told me its because i have less back pressure.
I'll see if i can get something to record the sound.

if you have no catalytic converter..it'll be pretty raspy just from havin no restriction..maybe you have an exhaust leak somewhere? when i had my header, test pipe, catback exhaust with no leaks (mainly from flanges/gaskets) it sounded bad ***, but then started sounding like **** when there was aleak in the system..
yeterday i ended up putting my stock exhuast manifold/dp, and put the test pipe on..and it sounds wayyyy better now..it actually feels faster than having the kamikaze header/dp, with the catalytic converter on..

I would suggest you take it to a muffler shop and have them check for leaks...

Dude, I just installed mt rrm header yesterday and have that exact same sound, I'm now like 98% sure it aint an exhaust leak, from what I've been researching, it's normal.

That rice sound is to be expected. What you can do is install a glass pack (that usually helps get rid of the rice sound a little bit) or a resonator inline with your exhaust system.

Static I think I know what you are referring to with the rattling sounds. Check of course for leaks but I know that with my experience the Header moves the exhaust slightly down and toward the rear of the car. I think this puts the axle back section close to the sway bar. Sometimes when the engine moves you can hear the rear section rattling toward the back of the car.

If this is what you are experiencing let me know. I usually let the car idle down inthe morning and just before the needle dipped into the 1K region I would hear that rattle.

Check it out.

I don't have a high flow cat yet or cat back but I intend to do that eventually. I don't think there is anything to worry about though. I have had this for well over a year now.

I don't have any input on the issue you're having, but since your talking about funny sounds after header install, I figured I might as well post mine.

I did not notice any rattling sound since I installed mine, but whenever I rev the engine and take my foot right off, I can ear some sort of sparking sound coming from the downpipe. Kinda sound like it's backfiring or something.

Oh and one more thing.

SInce there is no more cat up front I think the Noise in the second cat which is located right beneath you affects what you can hear as exhaust noise. I now when I had my car dyno'd and I stood behind it the exhaust note was much sweeter than what I could hear inside the car. I was actually very impressed with it.

As for LOUD I'd have to agree.

I was in Tallahassee FL last weekend and for some reason the car seemed unbearably LOUD compared to Orlando. I don't know if it was the trees beside to road there or what but it drove me nuts. Now back in Orlando where everything is a little further from the street it's bearable again.

I had a couple leaks, i already took it to the muffler shop. They fixed them, but it sounds the same, and it isnt touching the sway bar, this is proably something i just need to get used to. Sucks though. The perfomance gain is noticable, especialy from 60-80 its way better then it was before. I plan on going to the track soon.

I will post a sound clip of it when ever i find something to take it with and see what you guys think about it.

could you smell exhaust in the engine bay? Because I can't, how much did it cost you to get it checked at a muffler shop? I don't know if I should too.
