800whp+ stock port head?

So I recently pulled the trigger on a Buschur 2.0LR and am getting ready to put the car together. Last season the car put down between 740-760whp consistently on a 6466 at 39psi. That was on a 9:1 2.0L. I am now contemplating whether to spend the extra coin to get the head ported before it goes on the new bottom end. I know it would be ideal but I really don't want to spend the $1500+ with the Canadian dollar as weak as it is. My goal for this season is between 800-850 hp and I wasn't too far off last season. I was thinking if anything to upgrade from the s2's to s3's and see what happens. I know Boostin performance made 800whp on a mustang dyno on a stock head and ran low 9's which gives me hope. Thoughts?

What are your trap speeds. What boostin made on their dyno means nothing. All dyno's read differently and to compare what they made on their dyno without knowing the weight of the car and the elevation of the track is pointless. I would for sure have the head ported and snag some S3 cams. Should net you around 40-60 more hp easily.

My car trapped 139-141 consistently only revving to 8500rpm (hitting the limiter way before the finish)

+1 I would like to see 800whp myself. I know it can be done. Seen it done with the FP zero on a 2.0 and stock non ported head, M2 cams. Made 805whp and 645wtq

S2 to S3 might help, but you're only using the extra duration. The stock head can't even really take advantage of the lift the S2 has, and the S3 has even more lift. Porting the head will be big help.

Would it be sufficient to get the head ported and re-use the factory valvetrain or should I just spend the money and get the head built?

Edit: The head currently has supertech springs and retainers.

I made a little over 800 with a stock head and kelford 272s with a 6466. What was the limiting factor last year why you couldn't run a little more boost? I was running 44-45 lbs on a 10.5:1 cr engine. I then made some changes to the fuel system and put a fully ported head on the car with s3 cams and it made 843hp/597tq on a dynojet at the same boost level pretty close to out of fuel.

Mainly because I was skeptical of the bottom end and didn't want to push my luck. Iv'e got a new shortblock on the way so i'll be looking for some more power. Did you make 843hp on stock fuel lines?

I made 820 on stock lines, I made 843 on a -6 feed line from pumps to fuel rail. I was pretty close to out of pumps I think. We might have been able to push it a little more, but not much.

Nice power, would like to see numbers like that soon. gpfury8 what fuel pumps did you use to support that power? Double or triple pumper?

Thats good power. Are you on standalone or stock ECU?

Fully ported by whom? I am on r2's stock sized port and polished head and hoping to see a 50+whp gain with the curtbrown ported head and 70mm tb/intake manifold (had buschur now sending to curt)

It was just on 2 Wally 255s, with one of the pump on a pressure switch to flip on under boost since I still had a stock FPR. The head was ported by a local guy here that has a business called port tech. He ports motorcycle cylinder heads for drag bikes and does real nice work. I actually have this head just setting on the shelf, I put like 1600 miles on it. Also that was all on stock ecu.

I didn't think a the double Wallys would support that power. That's what I have now along with fpr fuel rail and 2150s. But was I would have to make my double to a triple for 800whp
