stock evo 78,000 miles power recomendation

Hello everyone thanks for taking the time check my post out! First of all I just bought my first evo 8 and have no experience with turbo cars. Have an 08 civic SI all motor that drove before this..so bare with me and have patience lol!...I have a few questions and I would highly appreciate everyones opinions! After buying this 2005 evo 8 I'm running on a tight budget but...
What are the first aftermarket parts do you recommend and what name brand!?
Like I said I'm on a tight budget
List your mods and power please? And around how much you spent!
Thanks

Intake, exhaust, tune. I prefer buschur because they make quality performance parts but you also pay more for them. Depending how much power you want you can get injectors and a larger fuel pump and run an e85 tune.

Welcome, I came from an 8th Gen as well, you will love the Evo. My advice is to exhaust the rest of your budget by going over the car and replacing anything that needs a little extra love and replacing all the fluids. Then think about making it faster later

First, locate the best evo tuning shop in your area. Since you live in MN, I would suggest MAP. http://www.maperformance.com/

For parts:

1. Intake (ETS one does a fine job for cheap) http://www.maperformance.com/ets-int...t-evo-8-9.html

2. O2 eliminator downpipe (recirculate unless you like LOUD) http://www.maperformance.com/map-sta...e-evo-8-9.html

3. Full 3" exhaust (can't beat Tomei for a cost effective full Titanium exhaust) http://www.maperformance.com/tomei-t...FQeSfgodP6EAYg

4. High flow cat or test pipe http://www.maperformance.com/map-sta...i-evo-8-9.html

5. LICP http://www.maperformance.com/map-2.5...FUWVfgodLGcA7g

6. Tune - Just have MAP install the parts and tune at the same time.

Leave the rest alone until you build the motor.

Also if you have an 8, upgrade to the 9 BOV. You can find them used for ~$50.

to add:

7. walbro 255 fuel pump
8. MBC or 3-port boost solenoid

you can go to RSmotors in burnsville also.

For a tight budget:

walbro 255
ETS intake
Evo 9 bov
down pipe and full exhaust
and your tuner's choice of boost control. ECU boost is preferred..

STM intake, Buschur turbo back, keep stock o2 housing, Hallman manual boost controller, replace throttle body seals with Mil.Spec shaft seals, wideband, boost gauge, Walbro 255 fuel pump, lower intercooler pipe, PTE 1200cc injectors, and a quality tune. The above combo, especially the injectors and fuel pump combo will allow you to switch between pump gas and e85 if you have it available.

Maybe I can squeeze 500$ for now lol I just want to buy the most important things!
The previous owner didn't do the 60,000 Mike maintenance so I will do that this coming week it's at 78,000 miles now

Nice! Thanks for that advise but since I'm on a really tight budget I will leave those 2 for the very last before I tune

hey thanks! Thats exactly what I will do! I'm buying the timining components from this site the timing on a budget lol! And honestly these other places sell for so expensive and it's the same parts lol!
That's Awsome you had an 8th gen! What a difference! I just haven't fully enjoyed my evo because I picked it up 18 hrs away from where I live and the guy had it stored for over 3 years so it runs pretty ruff! Like brakes, alignment ,shocks ,timing components oil change spark plugs! Lol but over all the car inside and out its in mint condition! I love how it looks! Maybe I'll post up pics tomorrow or something

If you are that right on a budget. I suggest getting all the maintenance done to it first. Then get a e85 tune
