Hi everyone. I posted a thread earlier and it was suggested I post it here to get better information. A few weeks ago I purchased a 2001 evo 7 gsr and am in the market for a new clutch. after test driving it and feeling boost I did not consider my daily needs. It's got a new Evo8 mr engine and precision 6262 turbo on mild run in tune. But it also has an xtream twin plate ceramic clutch. I did not realize what a pain in the *** this clutch is until driving home with the car. I intend to downgrade as soon as some money is available. I have seen such conflicting reviews when looking up clutches in regards to their daily drivability. I was just after some opinions as to what clutch some of you are running for daily drivers and what they are like to drive, but are also able to withstand a bit of power.

Do you know how much TQ it is producing? Base your clutch purchase on that.

 

No not too sure sorry. Old mate I got it off didn't have any figures. Once I do get re tune I'll be going dual map and going to try and make it as comfortable as possible on 98 and a higher boost setting for e85 on the rare chance I decide to take it to the strip 1 day down the road. I'm leaning towards a Competition Clutch stage 4 sprung. Anyone with this particular clutch have an opinion on the daily drivability?
