Did you figure out the problem as yet?

 

Sorry been busy buying parts for my new build. the number four Rod bearing spun.

 

I have what seems to be the exact same noise in my engine. I swear it's coming from the head but I can't find anything wrong with it. No debris in the oil, and good oil pressure.

 

PrimerSdime I have the same issue with the engine in my black car... it makes the same power as usual...

Tom, not sure what that post was about... I am waiting on a new short block to arrive, should be shipping this week, so once I have the time I will rip down the old stuff and see if I can find the issue...

The thing is I have had the issue for 3 years now, but has recently gotten worse...

 

I guess your responses and all of the ellipses just sounded sarcastic to me. Sorry if they aren't

 

When I had a rod knock I swore it came from the head as well, sounded like something was rattling around underneath the valve cover. My oil also looks completely fine. Drop the oil pan and look at the bearings/see if there is movement in the rods.

 

I have the same issue. .. I swear it is coming from the head but when I pull out the dipstick, I see white smoke...
