Am I neglecting anything for the new valves I bought?
So as I'm rebuilding my block (2.4LR) and taking everything apart anyway, I wanted to do a refresh on my head as well to make the motor "as-new" as possible.
Admittedly I'm not an expert, but I purchased new valves, valve seals and valve guides thinking that it would give some new life to my engine. It appears I have dual springs, likely bought by the previous owner, if that makes a difference.
Is there anything that I'm overlooking that makes it not as easy to just swap in the new valves, guides and seals? I'm assuming that I'll have to re-seat the new valves and I did some research and it appears I'll have to get the guides honed by the machine shop. Apart from that I'm not sure what else it might require. I'll be taking my stuff to the machine shop soon so I'd like to know as much as possible.
Much appreciated!
