stock frame turbo options, misc. questions

im gonna start off by saying sorry if this is a question thats been asked a lot, ive tried searching and havent seen a lot of info on it and this will be my first time upgrading a turbo on one of my cars so I'd like to be sure of everything and explore the different routes.

to summarize i have about every bolton/mod i can get on my evo 8 with the exception of meth, and some porting and I'd like to start looking at turbos to increase power. right now I'm running a 3" downpipe with a muse o2 dump and FiD tubular stock replacement manifold. i like the setup a lot, are there any turbos that will work with the downpipe i have now? I think i read that some older FP's would bolt up but now the newer housings wont and id hate to have to sell everything and start over to buy MAP's downpipe/dump and then the turbo as well. I was really looking at going to an FP black but after researching more I'm a little held up. I think I read I could have FP rebuild my turbo with the housing AS LONG AS there isnt any cracks which in most cases there are. plus Id hate to have to the turbo off my car for 6-8 weeks during the summer.

also with the o2 dump will I still need to run an external wastegate? otherwise im guessing ill have to sell my manifold to pick up one with vband for one.

again sorry if these are noob questions I just want to make sure of everything to try and save a little money before I buy any unnecessary parts

**to add in, if I can save some money by not having to order a downpipe/manifold/wastegate along with the new turbo I'd be willing to sacrifice some power and go something other than the fp black, it was just my turbo of choice.

FP's new line of turbos are single scroll turbos that require a new downpipe and a external wastegate. You do have the option of sending your MHI housing in but then there's the down time. At the moment your only options, in regards to retaining the downpipe and 02 dump you have, are to buy a used aftermarket turbo that uses a MHI housing or to get one of the new stock frame turbos that Blouch Performance will be offering.
