How Many quarts with a AMS pan?

So I pretty much just picked this Evo up. It has a AMS oil pan on it and a small oil cooler (not sure of brand). But I'm trying to figure out how much oil I should put in it when I get the motor back in. I know factory is like 4.8 quarts. I tried to look it up and it says it holds an additional 1.5 quarts. So adding the oil cooler, should I be putting in about 6.75 quarts?

I am confused because I already tried to change the oil once and after adding 5quarts and letting it sit for 10 mins, I checked the oil level and it was in the middle of the dip stick. I know this can't be right. So anybody else with a AMS/moroso pan want to chime in? Also it's a built motor with no balance shaft. Don't think that changes anything though. Thanks.

I think total is around 6.5 quarts.
I would overfill it just a bit and then start the car for 10 seconds and then check the oil again. The oil pickup is way down low so you won't starve the motor.

Yeah that's what I was worried about. I didn't want to starve the motor or overfill it. I guess I was on the right track just wanted to confirm my suspicion.

The oil pickup is way down in the pan. Fill it over the line a bit then start it and see what happens.
