New FP EVO 8 Ti-AL 71HTA

http://www.forcedperformance.net/mer...tegory_Code=SP

Anyone heard of this seems insne and like a good deal. Speciallyf if you are looking for a good turbo to get 10,000 miles out of it while you save up for a big PTE6266.

What type of performance and spool will we see

Ordering one of these Tusday

keep it 25psi with no boost leaks. I'd rock one.

It's an OEM turbo. With a 71hta comp wheel. The Ti-Al turbine came on one of the special edition Evo's I think. And just like the Ti-Al turbines in the EFR turbo's, the rated shaft speed is not to be exceeded..

If someone can control themselves. My current turbo is the same. Never meant to go over 27psi. People do, then kill them, then say it's a junk turbo LOL.

As long as OP isn't hoping for 400whp he should be okay.

The Ti exhaust wheel has been standard fitment to all RS evos since the evo6.

Apart from the US ones of course.

Shame it doesn't come with the RS exhaust housings as that is the higher nickel version which can handle higher exhaust temps.

I've had x2 of the OEM 9RS '51' (Tial ex wheel, mg comp wheel). These were the ducks nuts of the OEM turbos.
They were allegedly rated to 24psi, I ran both for ~ 6 months @ 24psi before they ate themselves LOL.
We were always wary of boost leaks, no way we could test shaft speeds so we would methodically leak test to 40psi, 'twas all in vain...
I would be very wary of anything with a Tial wheel, IMO TSS is a must for the EFR guys (as I have done)

How much would this setup benefit me compared to the stock evo ix turbo?

This is also another option from FP for $699 the EVO IX 71HTA CHRA with the 84MM FAP cover.

I could also do the Ti-AL 71HTA with the 84MM FAP cover for $699 as well.

I'm not afraid of high boost #s so eating one of these would happen quick haha

If this doesn't require sending in a good core it sounds like a great turbo to test out. I was a huge fan of the OEM.
