STM or MAP
STM or MAP
Hey guys, I'm new to this board and I'd like your thoughts and opinions on which 02 housing downpipe, external dump to get. STM OR MAP? They're both around the same price, but, which one is more durable, perfect fit, etc?
yea, STM does produce good numbers on their cars. I tried to look up the downpipe 02 dump on youtube for STM, but, couldn't come across anything. Only MAP, that's why i made this thread. If anyone got some insight on both companies, please share your experience with the item or company. Thank you
Just put the STM O2 open dump/down pipe on my car and it fits awesome. I pretty much buy everything from those guys, OEM or aftermarket parts. Nothing aganist MAP, I just started using STM one day because they are close to me and I've never had a bad expirence.... So I stick with what works for me
I'm a STM guy myself, but i purchased the map 02 eliminator down pipe from map because STM didn't start producing them. But I have seen both of them in person. You're fine which ever way you go.

sounds great guys. Thanks for the input, much appreciated. I'll also check out the Muse. I'm still learning about the evo, and other companies that offer parts for it. Coming from an 2012 wrx, 06 STi, and an 05 s2000 ap2, my evo just outweighs those cars to my liking by far.
I noticed with the MAP and STM, it's a 3" downpipe w/ O2 dump. Now, with the Muse O2 housing, it says a 2.5" would it be the same as STM and MAP if I buy a 3" downpipe separately and paired it with the Muse O2 housing? Or is the STM and MAP a 3" housing?
It wouldn't be the same. The MAP eliminator downpipe is 3" all the back, from the 02 housing to the testpipe/cat. The Muse 02 dump is a 2.5" pipe that connects to a 3" downpipe via the donut gasket.
Yea that's what I figured. Well, it's either MAP or STM for me, for sure. Probably gonna go with STM
Yea, it really comes down to preference at this point. Probably gonna go with STM 'cause their evo's that they've built backs up their reputation. Plus your guys' input. Much appreciated y'all. Looking forward to learning more about the evo community as well.
