safe to remove catback completely?

I wanna hear my stock Evo roar, so I'm gonna take out the catback one day. Are there any issues I may run into?

you can melt stuff under the car, i would say dont do it!! but if your only going to run for say 15 min. then its worth a try, dont let it idle for a while.
