I just went to try to start my evo in the garage today. It is 74 degrees, hot, and sunny today, which was the same temperature at the time of pickup from my current tune.

It has the same symptoms cranks, but doesn't start. Could it be the gas or fouled plugs?

I am going to call my current tuner and ask him this question!

Thanks
Scott
pull a spark plug and see if its wet.

Something that should not be used on very expensive motor. Can cause detonation.

How do you know if it is wet, won't that evaporate over time, I tried starting it Monday?

Got oil today, going to get it changed this week and cut the oil filter open at my machine shop.

I don't know if you've been in contact with me yet, but id be happy to give you a good tune on the car. I prefer not to tune AEM remote/email, but I do tune it in person and I can tune it as good or better then most people who push the product over the stock ECU which I still prefer / run in my own cars.

I do have some cars cross country making 1000WHP+ on Series 2's but they are much more challenging to setup good driveability with when done remotely so id prefer to do the AEM stuff in person.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback guys! I am trying to use my calendar now on my site 100% now so hopefully I'm making everyone that's coming to me now happy!

Also if you have done a lot of excessive cranking, then your plugs will most certainly foul out. I would pull them and check for fuel. I also wouldn't keep trying to fire a car that wont start because you will wash the cylinders and cause excessive wear in rings and cyl bore.

If you check it right after cranking you will see it wet. It takes awhile to evaporate.

You will most likely smell the fuel though if its being flooded.

you should only be starting the motor on it, not running it

No I wasn't, machine shop said it's bad in general to use because it can cause detonation.

Thanks Tom,

I have been in contact with you. I will check the plugs. Hopefully everything is ok.

Thanks,
