Bought used gt35r bad seals?

I bought a used gt35r from a kid who had it on a sti and changed his up pipe and a few other things and changed the oil feed line to one without an oil restrictor not knowing it needed one and drove it around the block and noticed blue smoke so took it into a shop that told him the seals where blown. So he put on a 30r and and has just had this one sitting around for a while. So from what I've read the turbo should be fine just clean it up and use a restrictor. There is no shaft play and spins freely. Everything I've read you cannot rebuild this turbo what do you guys think. I was going to send it to FP and have it upgraded to hta3582r

Just run it. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with it. Turbos don't have seals, they basically have "gas" rings (like piston rings), they mostly rely on differential pressure to keep the oil in the CHRA. They don't just "blow". I'm almost certain if you install it with the proper oil restrictor it will be fine..
