Hey everyone.

I picked up my 2006 evo ix almost exactly 1 year ago. I have been collecting parts and I am about ready to install everything. 1 of the things I need are cams. I was initially going to pick up some Kelford 272's but have been told by a few people to go with GSC S2's. And just recently was told that maybe the S3's would be best. So which ones and why? Would love to hear from people who have or had a very similar setup. Or if anyone could post up a link to another thread with a similar set up so I can read up on it.

So here is a list of everything as of right now that I have and hopefully you guys can lead me in the right direction with which cams to go with.

FP manifold
FP intake
ARP headstuds
ETS Upper Intercooler piping
eBay Lower Intercooler piping
Tial BOV
FIC low impedance 1150cc injectors
Tial wastegate with external dump
Invidia downpipe
Tomei Test pipe
Tomei exhaust
MAP Beehive valve spring kit - ultimate duty
MAP Titanium valve spring retainers
Deatsch Werks DW300 fuel pump
ETS 4" fmic

I am pretty sure that is everything I have sitting in these boxes.

So if anyone could help me choose the cams that would best fit my set up.

I am just looking to have fun with the car for now. Just cruise around and have fun with it if that makes any difference in choosing.

Also, if there is anything else I should look into purchasing please let me know and I will look into it.

GSC S2's will do you well.

 

Both cams are bad ***. No need for S3's if your head is not ported.i was in your shoes,asked a lot around and went with s2's.

Depending on what eBay lower intercooler pipe u have that could be a choke point if not properly designed
