FP XR BB turbos Oil Feed restrictor?
I just bought an XR BB MHI Red and want to be sure about the need of a restrictor in the oil feed line.
I'm currently running a IX turbo with the stock VIII oil feed from the head. Is the restrictor built into the CHRA or is it something that is added inline with the oil feed?
What size orifice is required?
I know I've seen this information before but I didn't find it in my searching and want to be sure.
Budget doesn't allow me to purchase their feed line right now is why I ask.
Thanks

If they haven't shipped it yet, call and ask what you need. At this point, IDK if your getting the old ball bearing CHRS, or the new Zona, so FP will know best. Amber or Robert usually answer the phone and they're always helpful.

It's shipped and arriving Thursday. My original question was if the restriction was "built-in" to the housing or a separate device in the line. If its in the line, which I assume it is at this point, I would like to know the size. I was just trying to avoid calling and bothering them but I'll call and ask tomorrow and update here. On a tight budget... Trying to do the impossible and get all 3; cheap, fast, reliable.
If its the new Xona housing, which your title says XR, so I'm assuming it is, you need a restrictor in the oil line. And a filter would also be a good idea. You should buy this:

Buying their oil line will ensure there is no argument on any (possible) future warranty issues if they deem the charger was not properly lubricated.

Ok, called. Looks like no warranty and no oil line was included.
Anyway, BB versions use a .030" restrictor

And the JB versions are .125" full flow.

Bummer. No warranty isn't a huge deal, you have to try, hard, to blow up a BB turbo...lol.
I would just buy their oil line kit. By the time you buy that filter, fittings, and line, you'll be pretty close in price to their kit...

So I was surprised to find that they did include the oil feed and 6 month warranty! Michael also threw in a intake pipe but I knew that was part of the deal. Very happy with this purchase and FP! Now I just hope my drivetrain stays intact for a few more years.
