Kelford 272 scuffed HELP

Hey guys, I just got this set of kelford 272's out of my friends car since he is getting rid of it. I noticed these scuffings on one of the cams, only 2 lobes have these but my fingernail drags on them. Is this okay to use? If not, what would be a remedy to make these work? can a machine shop do anything about these cams? thanks!

Did your friend have an engine failure? That's what appears to have happened. I know some guys will run cams with "minor" damage to them with no problem but I personally would always be questioning them.
A machine shop may be able to smooth it out but I would imagine that altering the lift slightly since they are precision machined to precise tolerances.

looks like pitting from rust. the rocker are roller, it will ride on the high part of the lobe, so it will be ok if those scruff dip down instead or rise up.

If they're not too deep i would just clean them up and use em. The rollers will roll right over that without issue.
