Kelford 272 scuffed HELP
Hey guys, I just got this set of kelford 272's out of my friends car since he is getting rid of it. I noticed these scuffings on one of the cams, only 2 lobes have these but my fingernail drags on them. Is this okay to use? If not, what would be a remedy to make these work? can a machine shop do anything about these cams? thanks!

Did your friend have an engine failure? That's what appears to have happened. I know some guys will run cams with "minor" damage to them with no problem but I personally would always be questioning them.
A machine shop may be able to smooth it out but I would imagine that altering the lift slightly since they are precision machined to precise tolerances.
