Yes, I am agreeing with you, however Walbro states the same thing about their 255lph pumps but people use them with E85 with no issues.

The companies are just saving their asses in case something happens.

Well, something may have happened in this case...lol. His car has an RRE exhaust, so I'm willing to bet RRE tuned it, and it's not like RRE would leave a tune with AFR's sweeping from <10 to 13ish...

guys - my AFR readings I quoted are to be taken with a grain of salt since that was just me glancing at the AFR gauge. All AFR's were great at the time of tuning (by Tom, which we logged at the time), but if an injector was failing or pump wasn't delivering enough pressure for some reason, that could definitely throw the numbers off..

Bryan - I'm actually in Santa Clara - probably only 45mins from you!

Thanks!

If you're at WOT and in boost, you should never glance at your AFR gauge and see 10.0, or 13.0 AFR. It should always be in the 11.5-12 range if the car is at full boost.

And I didn't mean it fluctuated at WOT (I just meant anecdotally while driving around it seemed higher than normal)... I should probably have been paying more attention to it at WOT on track, but was too busy staring at the next corner :/

I went back and looked at the logs during the initial tune, and they are perfect - no fluctuations, right around 12:1. Something definitely happened between then and now (it was tuned a couple years ago, so plenty of time for something else to go bad).

Thanks!

For sure check the pump assembly filter. A new assembly is around $115 or so, at least it was last time I bought one.
