hi guys
got a prob with my evo 6.
i was having problems with it boosting turned out it was the penny flap that had warped and got stuck.
i had the turbo hotside replaced with tommi makinan hotside and now when i start the car it is making that tappet noise even tho i just changed them a few month ago and it wasn't making that noise before i gave it in. i drove off and as soon as it hits boost the engine seems to not want it. it judders and then switches off and starts sounding abit like a boxer engine or sounds like fueling isnt right. any ideas what could be problem? i changed the oil and filter and lamba sensor but no change

Are you from The UK? If so, or, even if you are not, I suggest you contact/join The MLR, Mitsubishi Lancer Registry. They are very familiar with the VI, and have lots there. Here, we barely see, or have experience with them sadly. I am a Member there, and it's a very helpful site and they have access/experience to I-X Evos.
