Mishimoto Radiator Kit

I've been looking at getting a Mishimoto dual core radiator, slim fan, cowel & hose kit for my Evo 9. I have been told, however, to stick to the oem radiator, as it is best.

How true is this? I find it difficult to believe the oem radiator will be more efficient than the Mishimoto. Perhaps its more a case of, leave the stocker because it works just fine, rather than leave it in because it works much better?

I'm thinking that the Mishimoto 'upgrade' may not necessarily work better than the oem radiator, but it certainly could not be worse? On par?

I know many Evos used on trackdays. AFAIK most of them - if not all of them - use the stock radiador included myself. Ambient temps are always between 24 and 35 degrees celsius.

Oil temps are a concern. Water temp never was.

I don't know wether the Mishimotor radiator is better or not than the OEM. The point is that the OEM does the job.

My radiator is damaged & the Mishimoto is cheaper than a stock replacement, hence the question.
I don't want to do anything to impede the performance of the car.

I was about to say to go the cheapest way. I've read some posts from people who changed the stock radiator not because it was not performing well but because they didn't trust the plastic end tanks.

That said, my "track" car is a 2001 Evo 7. I'm running stock radiator and suspension. Last week I found out the front bump stops were destroyed. I think the Evo parts are very reliable.
