any one knows if the parts available for the american EVO 8 will fit on the JDM evo 5?....of JDM 8 parts on the Evo 5?...a friend of mine is lookin for some parts for his evo and wondering if he can buy the 8 parts in the US instead of ordering from japan all the time

 

what kind of parts are you talking about ?? the body is totally different from EVO5 and EVO8, may be the wheel can be the same bolt pattern,interio is also different, they share nothing at all ! The engine compartment has different layout either. so I guess there is nothing from EVO8 that you can use on a EVO5 ! May be you can try to find older Mitsubishi Mirage, they may share same body and interio ! Good luck !!

 

nah i am refering to engine parts...like cams...injectors...fuel rails...etc

 

scientist, I guess this thread is a bit old, but I dont see why the more generic parts wouldn't be a problem. The 4g63 has been around for over 12 years, and with the exception of things like cams and parts that were changed drastically, Im sure you can get some stuff to work

Engine parts and such stuff will fit 100% from E4 all the way to E8.
