throwout bearing
no it wouldn't be crazy at all but it isn't recommended. most clutch kits come with one but they arnt all that expensive either. I'd change it for good measure. the bearing itself may be fine but the tabs may be weakening. how old is it?
I had an incident where I hadn't changed my tob and about three months later after the job the tabs gave in and I was stuck on the road having to make it home without stopping with only two gears lol. I wasn't holding on the pedal too long or anything, I was just sitting at a stop light and pop! it broke off. But the short answer is no you don't have to.

it's 2-year-old. I am sure My clutch it's going out due to heavy traffic driving. It's not only the money but the time. Trans is out clutch should be in tomorrow. I guess I could go to the dealer and get an overprice one.
By the way, one time my shifter cable went out on me. So I manually shifted into 2nd gear and drove home slowly all the way. lol, Thank god it was late at night and no traffic so I know that you mean.
