AH, well in that case, I would talk to English Racing about their 2.2slr. 94mm crank, custom 153mm rods, and I'm pretty sure sure they use a custom piston. But it really is the ideal all around motor in a 4g63 block. Better VE from the stroker crank, but still able to rev to 9k+, and a good rod ratio (unlike 100mm 4g63's). So the wear items (pistons, rings, bearing) last longer.

What about Magnus 2.2LR (92mm crank and 156mm rod) ?

Agreed.

I've never ridden in a car with that motor, nor have I ever seen dyno results.

I've ridden in 2.2slr cars (English racing motors) with S3's, they have excellent bottom end power. On a 2.2 (94mm crank) it's a great cam, especially since OP wants to rev to 9k. However, having a stock frame turbo with the twin scroll 10.5cm nozzle will likely be a bottle neck. Would be better to go with a T3 setup.

Sigh. OP wants to rev the motor to 9k+. The S3 is the best cam for that. You've even posted that. It's like you ignored part of the original post..

I wonder if the 4k-8500 on their site is if you have big stroker, like a 2.3 4g63 or a 2.4 4g64 (100mm stroke) and the R2 has a little longer legs on the 94mm 2.1-2.2 (94mm stroke) motors.

What I really wish they made was an S2 with .5mm more lift. Could call it an R1 I guess...lol. I'll be building a 2.2 (94mm), but likely won't rev it past 8k due to the stock frame turbo.

Call them and ask, I did, that's why I'm getting a little irritated because what they told me I posted here.

OP go with the S3's. You'll be much happier, especially if you wanna rev to 9000. Tony at UMS did some testing on his time attack car with the R2 and the S3. His setup is a 2.2LR with and he's used a 3582 and 4088 turbo. The S3 lost nothing to the R2 down low and gained a lot more up top.
