I just pulled the cams and head on my engine that spun a rod. Good news is that it is Port and Polished which i was not aware of when buying it, also it already had ARP Headstuds and mains. Still going to replace the head studs but mains i think will get re used.

Bad news is that more than the crank is scored by bearing. One of the cam journals is scored along with the cam itself which is worse than the journal.

My question is... Is the head fixable?? Id love to save it but if i have to risk something because of oversizing it then is that ok?

 

Here is about the worst, before I go to the machine shop, is it even worth it?

 

The machine shop will be able to give you a final answer since they can see it and tell if they can polish it up. But it looks like they're probably going to say no.
