Slipped the clutch too long...WOW what a smell
I slipped too much yesterday and got this smell from slipping up at high RPM trying to be too smooth on a 2step launch. It seems to grab fine today, even know it was pretty smelly for most of yesterday. How will I know if it is OK?
This is the first time the smell was bad, I've really only used my 2step once (set@5800) I did have a lil'bit of smell one other time. I don't plan on doing this over and over, hope it can be OK with these 2 isolated launches like this... any feedback?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, burnt clutch smell.
That smell is your clutch burning away material. When My friend killed his clutch it stunk to high heaven. If your slipping your clutch right you'll get a faint odor. If your doing it wrong or holding it too long, you burn lots of clutch material off.
YOu may want to start saving for a new clutch just in case.

you have two choices,
1-treat your stock clutch like a baby
or...
2-get a new one
