Down Pipes that clear Conrtol arms...

I'm looking into getting a quality DP. But I DO NOT want to remove or have any problems with the factory control arms. I would like to come up with a list of known, installed, and working DP's that have no trouble with installation. I have heard that the Helix and Turbo XS clear the arms. Is there any truth to this? And if anyone has any other options please post them up.
Feel free to comment on sound level and/or performance along with your post.

BTW the DP will either hook up to the stock cat or possibly the Random Tech. High flow cat.
Thanks in advance guys.

The bars you are talking about everyone actually refers to as the lower tie bars, not control arms.

Our 2.5" downpipe will bolt to the stock cat, you do NOT want to bolt a 3" downpipe to anything but a 3" cat/offroad pipe. Do not neck your exhaust down.

Our 3" downpipe also clears BUT as I say, don't hook a larger diameter exhaust pipe into a smaller one.

so many people that have a 3 inch catback, and a 3 inch cat delete or high flo and are using for example the HKS DP, which is 2 point something inches... is that bad?

The HKS DP is 2.65" I think. That is close enough to 2.5" that I won't knock it. I am just saying to be careful when installing a 3" downpipe to the small 2.5" system after that.

Nice thing about the 2.5", and kudos for buschur for building parts for performance and not just for marketing, is that it has nice clearance around the oil pan so you don't have as many concerns with heat as you would with a 3" pipe. Not a big deal if all you do is cruise, but if you do any track events then it might be an issue, especially in hotter places like texas.

I got the 3" helix and never looked back. Awesome quality and great price. Also, no clearance issues.

well my helix was built differently than yours...the flange was crooked and didnt fit the stock cat properly and it was making contact to the oil pan.. its a good thing i chopped it up to make a new one

I hate it when that happens. I still havent looked back though. I did hear Helix had a bad batch and that they have corrected the problem. And were offering replacements for the bad ones at no charge, I believe through Gruppe?

I didn't know the turboxs downpipe was out. Does it clear the tie-bars or any other clearance issues? I heard they were gong to provide spacers or sth to clear the tie-bars.

Also is their 3inch catback exhaust straight thru or does it angle out like the JDM style...thanks
