Evo 9 coil pack retune?
Hi guys
Recently i bought a sparktech non-cdi coil pack to replace the oem one. After it installed the idle seems a little bit high at around 1300rpm. Have searched few times but did not find answer. Wondering do i need to get it retune just for the new coil pack.
Thanks for help.

The tuner should be able to look at that and fix it. It either needs less timing at idle, or an adjustment to the BISS. It doesn't need a whole retune.

It depends. If the old coils were tired, the tuner may have cranked up the timing in the idle area of the timing table to stabilize the idle, which could cause a high idle once a better set of coils was installed.
