Lambada sensors
Surprise surprise; my car 'could' have a sensor but the dealer isn't sure...lol
WOW!!! Really!? A simple thing made impossible because of terrible data. I'm dumbfounded guys, how do you do it? It's like trying to stab fresh air with a frying pan! Info on the MR is really lacking and should have been dealt with when it was being introduced to the market. I could go grab a car manual from my box in the loft and know instantly whether the car has an O2 or not, as they cover everything in detail. These mitsi's are definitely a challenge and one I'm not able to solve at this time. I've tried with the dealer and on here and it seems as though it 'might' have had a sensor but was removed due to the 'cat back' so I'm in a bit of a quandry as to what I should do. On the one hand I can get hold of a rear O2 sensor from ebay for £99 and fit it but it might not work because it's been turned off in the ECU, or I could leave it and hope that it passes the MOT in Sept. To be honest I think I'm going to sell it, all this subversion, terms and definitions are like chinese writing to me, I have an old Ford Capri under cover that needs some work and recently it has become a very viable project as I know them inside and out. NO modules, NO ECU's, NO injectors, NO coil packs, NO O2 sensors! In other words an easy project and a delight to work on because of the access. These new 'electronic marvels' are nothing less than a nightmare and I am beginning to respect those who persevere within these impossible to work in engine bays! Crazy, just plain bat **** crazy trying to work within such tight areas, I love the room within say a Triumph Herald as the entire bonnet and wings lift out of the way, you can get to everything easily, which in turn makes it enjoyable as it should be
sorry to bother you lads I know you work hard on these machines but I'm all out with this one, and the sooner I can get rid of it the better.

The Evo is pretty much identical, electrically and mechanically, to my DSM and that car was introduced in 1990, in other words, 26 years ago. I'm 70 years old now but I remember riding my bicycle to the local new car show in 1958. There two old gents (like me now) were peering at the under hood of a Ford Mercury with A/C and one said to the other, "These new cars are just too complicated to work on any more." Do what you want to with the Evo but if you want to fix automobiles it is important to stay current. Nowadays, almost anything you need to know is available on youtube, even automatic transmission overhaul.
