after boost controler install

i've had the greddy spec II in my car for about 2 weeks (maybe) and i really don't think it made my car any faster... maybe even slower... i've watched the boost and it stays between 19 and 20 the whole time. do you guys have any suggestions? do you think it's just in my head?

Thanks
Ben

It's probably because the Spec II spools slower than stock.

Get the Hallman, its superior to the Profec B (knob version) I used to have, without the bling.

Do a pressure test and check for a boost leak.

youre leaking pressure somewhere dude. when i put the profec on my car it spooled the same as stock and felt like it added a lot of power, it was a totally different car. check for leaks.

I, too, would like to recommend the Hallman Evolution. It features "inside-the-****pit" adjustability.

Wow! Edited! Sorry, I had no intention of being vulgar, I was only quoting from the Hallman website.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that on our cars, the boost controller is more useful at holding boost up to redline than anything else. For more noticeable power, Air/Fuel tuning and some type of exhaust setup are a better step. The BC holds the power out longer.

i want to get the apex afc but i already have full exhaust and dynoflash... it just felt like after the install of the BC my car was slower....???
how can i check for leaks? or should i just go over everything again and make sure it's tight? also, if i do have a leak, would my boost gauge on the profec B still read 19 psi?

thanks for everyone's help!
Ben
