Coil upgrade advice
Coil upgrade advice
I just tuned an Evo 9, 2.3L GTX3576R, S2 cams, stock ECU. Everything went fine but suffered some hesitation when boost gets close to or exceeds 30PSI. I gaped the spark plugs, decreasing the gaps which eased the high boost hesitation a bit but it's still there. I'm thinking that a coil upgrade is required since the car is hitting high loads. Did some research & found two Coil sets: The Okada Project coil set, a twin coil setup advertised as capable of 4times more spark than the stock coils

And a less expensive Spoolinup coil cop, 4 coils setup

Any advice which is the better product? Or is there further, better coils?

What fuel is in the car currently?

Sparktech and Spoolinup are the same for the non-CDI COP setup. They're not "the same" exactly, but you will notice no performance difference between the two as the concept is identical.
How much power are you making and what's your spark plug gap set at?
