2.4L MIVEC timing with 4g63 belt

I've searched this for days and haven't seemed to come up with a clear answer. I'm completing my 2.4l conversion in my IX and have run into the issue with the timing belt on the cams. I have the Evo belt and and adjustable exhaust cam and have all the marks lined up but I'm not sure it's correct because of what I've read. Some say advance, some say retard and I'm properly confused. Lol

If anyone can help me clear it up I would appreciate it.

Looks pretty close.

Was head resurfaced?

What does the crank mark look like?

The cam gear is advanced 2 degrees to 0 out total timing.

It looks like you need to go clockwise a **** hair and all 3 marks should line up.

Now im unsure what your question was?

I'm just trying to make sure I have it timed correctly. I've read so many confusing and contradictory things when it comes to the timing of this build

The timing looks pretty close to timed. Its either off a tooth or more.

But your marks are almost dead on. You need to set the crank a little more forward and it should all line up.

From the pictures the crank looks to be a little to the left and need to center it and that should bring the cams to the marks.

You are ok to start the car based off the pictures.

Good luck
